10G DB creation Problem 2005-09-13 - By DBA Deepak
Hi All, I am trying to install Oracle 10G R2 on my W2K box. The following happened.... > DB created successfully > Catalog Scripts ran successfully > Utlrep.sql ran successfully > Database shutdown successfully But when I tried to start the db it gave the error: ORA-00704 (See ORA-00704.ora-code.com): bootstrap process failure ORA-39700 (See ORA-39700.ora-code.com): database must be opened with UPGRADE option I do not understand why am I getting the errors as I am not doing any upgrade. Can anyone please help me in resolving this?
